What are support materials?
Foot support materials are materials used to protect the natural shape of the foot, to eliminate the problems encountered while walking, to provide comfort to the foot and to eliminate some foot problems. Among the most preferred support materials are products such as insoles, orthoses and silver socks. The main purpose of using personalized support materials is to enable patients to move comfortably in their daily lives.
What is insoles?
Insoles designed in accordance with the natural shape of the foot are products that are produced from a moisture-absorbing material that protects the foot against high pressure and tension, and are used for problems such as flat feet, inward or outward pressing. They are also often preferred in order to alleviate the complaints that occur in the body due to foot deformation. Insoles are custom made. A similar insoles are not used in every foot complaint and in every patient. Not using insoles suitable for the feet may cause different problems in the future. For this reason, before using insoles, the support of a specialist podologist should be taken.
What is an orthosis?
It is a preferred application in order to eliminate deformities due to compression and deformities in the fingers with the help of a precision measuring device developed for the detection of foot problems. Orthosis, which is specially produced, can be recommended to patients due to different conditions such as anterior floor collapse, bone growth, completion of missing fingers, reducing the load on ingrown nails.
What are silver socks?
Silver socks, which is a preferred support material to prevent loss of feeling and cold in diabetic feet, is used as a care support product in infections and wounds on the feet. In such cases like eczema, fungus, etc, they have an effective maintenance function with their anti-odor feature.
